Fun fact: In my original 1st playthrough, I didn't tell Ran about what Kaiser did at the beginning of Chapter 4. In the one that I sort of did out of curiosity, I did tell Ran and oh my gosh, it changed the entire mood for the rest of the chapter after the water bottle scene. Lamb put a -lot- of thought into your choices and consequences of those choices.

As for the choice that sort of gave out a little more information, it's...somewhat near the end or Day 3, I believe.

I'm not sure if the MC knowing the RFA is real or not. She was kind of having a somewhat "fever dream" I think, and I'm not sure we can take it at face value. But! Maybe I'll be proven wrong~

Well, Raze did mention something about a prize and he seems pretty intent of getting it back. I wonder if Esmius managed to steal something that Raze holds dear to himself.

Funny enough, I haven't actually played Esmius route in Ice Demon yet, haha! I've only played through Sirath's route. (Which I totally fell in love with him, not gonna lie)

Some spoilers ahead, maybe...

Hmm, I may do a Kaiser playthough at some point in time. He's taken a bit to grow on me, heh. Also, no worries about the Ran thing.

Character wise, I'll admit, I'm playing the Good/Tactiful architype, but I do like that we have options to be gray/neutral/evil architypes.

I believe it was Day 3 that I tried a different branch in my save (I usually don't do that, but someone mentioned on another post how some more information comes to light and my curiosity wouldn't leave me alone.)

I don't know if you've played Demonhart: Ice Demon yet, but there were one or two things that came to light about Esmius (and Demonspawns as a whole)., and I'm wondering if things from there are playing out in the Cursed Trial. Also, I'm curious about the timeline, too. Obviously, the Cursed Trial takes place after the first Demonheart (but how many years apart is it?) and also well after Ice Demon. Timeline wise, Ice Demon is first, followed by Demonheart (Raze), and then Cursed Trial, at least from what I've seen.

I'm going for Ran this playthough, thou I'm not trying to be mean to Kaisar, just sort of...neutral. Definetly not trying to string him along. And yes, the unicorn was in the NWN modules. I played the first Demonheart, then kind of delved into what had already been created, and discovered the NWN modules.

Yeah, I felt betrayed as well. Can't take anything at face value, lol. As for who is poisoning who...Hrm, I sort of went back to a earlier save and picked the two other different choices at a certain point, just to see what would happen. While it does seem to shed a slightly more light on the mystery, in the end it just add more questions.

Lamb is doing such a stupendous job with this story. Each chapter left me gripping the edge of my seat as to what might come next.

Edit: After thinking it over in my sleep, I leaning towards Janiya the witch for the one poisioning people. She's the more logical suspect for that. She has mentioned that she knows alot about plants and herbs and can pick them without getting herself hurt. Though Elos did mention about the cursed liquid in the trees...

Oh man, I finished chapter 4 in like an hour. And now we have more questions, even less answers, and rapidly losing trust in this whole situation.

I trust Ran (which might come back to bite me), and strangely enough I want to trust Leonea. And Elos, but Mr. Fisher has ruined trusting grandpas. It's hard to take anyone at face value anymore, more so with the events that played out in this chapter.

Ran was ready to burn the world down, and I was loving it. Also, loving the witch calling us out on our love interests, hehe.

And loving the little tidbits of stuff from the other Demonheart games, like the undead Unicorn! Now I'm going to go replay all the chapters again while I eagerly await for chapter 5. 😆❤

All we need now is for Mr. Steve Kelly to come back and do Raze's VA and all with be right with the world. XD

So I finally got around to playing Chapter 2. I loved it!

Spoilers for Chapter 2:

I wasn't too sure if that was Raze at the end of Chapter 1, but I'm am so very happy it was confirmed in Chapter 2! With that being said, I can totally understand why he isn't a LI this time around. Depending on how you pick your history with him and Bright (In my playthrough, they loved each other but she was mortal so she died eventually), he's either probably still grieving, hurt, jaded, or angry still over Bright. I'm not even sure how far into the future this is from the original Demonhearts VN. I still need to play The Ice Demon VN, I had to look if Esmius was the same demon from that VN, and it was! But yeah, I am very, very happy to see Raze again.

I love the art style and all the background CGs with the small particle effects are a very nice touch! The ambience and music also adds nicely to the atmosphere as well. I like all the characters. Vita and Ran are my favorites after him. Excited to see where the next chapter takes us!

Found this last night cause I've been thirsting bad for anything remotely Eldritch Horror (mostly VNs and Test games), and I finally played this like a hour ago.

My god. And this was put together in 10 days?

Like, how?!

I mean, I understand the stars aligned for the dream team I read about in the Postmortem post, but...this was made in 10 days.

And it's beyond good.

I loved everything about it. The CGs, the writing, the music, the little text glitches and things that would happen in the UI after each route. The LIs were great! Theo was an absolute adorable dork, Oscar was fantastic and such a sleeper hit on the last bit of his route.

And Aster...

Boy am I ever glad I saved him to last. I was not disappointed.

And we're going to be getting updates? More content? Voice acting?!

I can say with all honesty that I am -eagerly- awaiting any and all new things that this team has instore for this game.

Now to go play it again. <3

I played the old demo a month or two ago, so when I heard that you were making a new extended demo, I was really excited. Boy, this did not disappoint.

I was thoroughly creeped out and uncomfortable in the best way the whole time I was playing the new demo. I really like the artistic changes that have been made, the CGs were so freaking good, and the small changes here and there that have added more depth to both Tate and Vic. I am really looking forward to the full game whenever it is finished.

Just finished Episode 4...

...I'm still trying to process it all. Wow. Just...wow.

Whatever I was expecting, it was certainly not that. I feel like a lot of things are going topsy turvy now, and I'm loving every. freaking. second of it. You guys are amazing and I am eagerly looking forward to what you all show us whenever Episode 5 is released. Hope you both have a very happy holiday and be well. <3

Oh my god, yay! *wriggles in her chair in excitment*

It is gonna be fully voice like the base game? This world can always use more voice work from Sarifus. That's super nice of you to include Lucifer's route. I can't wait! 🌸

Why is it that I discover these really great games after either the Kickstarter campaign has ended or it's already out? I'm a bit sad that the stretch goal for Lucifer's route wasn't reached. But! I did really enjoy this game. All the voice acting was super awesome and it was able to hit a good mix of being serious and not taking itself too seriously sometimes.

Just bought this two nights ago. My god, this was such a phenomenal experience. I just loved everything about it, the art style, the music and sound, the writing, everything. It pulled me in within the first 5 minutes and didn't let go till I was at the end of Episode 2. I can't wait for the rest of the episodes and to dig deeper into this wonderful horror story!

Loved every moment of this game. All the routes were different enough to not feel tedious and each one was a different story, all the characters where wonderful, I really loved the music. and Philia is the BEST. PENGUIN. EVER! I can't wait for the DLCs that are planned. Thank you for making such a lovely game and look forward to all the future plans for it.

I'be been in love with this game since I first saw it, though I was a little late to the party as Episode 2 had just come out. I eagerly await each new chapter, but boy was Chapter 4 just amazing! So much love to give to this team. The amount of work and care that goes into this blows me away. Also, when did the 'save game files' get titles on them?! I just now noticed them when I went to save/load at one point. My god, did those get a good laugh out of me. Now I need to replay all of the chapters again and save in different spots to see what titles pop up. (Is totally married to the Muffin Man, btw.)

This comment is getting away from me, haha. Anyways! Much love and appreciation to Wanderlust Games and all the people that work on this wonderful game. I got my best friend to download and donate because I wouldn't stop rambling about how amazing this game is. I eagerly await the future chapters, but make sure you guys take a well deserved break, especially with how the world is right now. Your health and safety come first and paramount.

Much love! <3

Just played the demo last night and I can't -wait- for the full game release. The patients that I had kept me on the edge of my seat and the whole game gave me a sense of...unease? Trepidation? And I loved every...single...second of it. Great job so far, and really looking forward to whenever you finish making this game. I will totally buy it on Release Day in a heartbeat flat.
